The Ebrik Story

Who We Are

Ebrik was founded in 2014 by friends and family. Abbas Barzegar, Basel Nassri and Abbas Arman wanted to bring a welcoming and inclusive specialty coffee shop to the heart of downtown Atlanta where thousands of "ATLiens" on the urban hustle needed a place to unwind and reconnect. From coffee to customer experience, and from book talks to open-mics, thee simple principles guide our philosophy, "Community. Comfort. Culture."

COVID Situation!

Of course, we had to make the tough decision to close our coffee shops due to the CoVID situation, but we are still roasting & this new home online is our way to make sure we can stay connected and keep the movement going. Thank you for your support. We appreciate your being here with us for the journey!

What's in the name?

The word "Ebrik" (ih-breek) is the small, long handled, copper pot used to make Arabic, Turkish, or Greek coffee. The word itself has been used throughout the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East for centuries to refer to a water ewer or tea kettle. Like coffee, the ebrik symbolizes community, comfort, culture.
